Press Release Summary =
"Psychiatry An Industry of Death\" blazes the bright light of truth on the brutal
pseudo science and the multi-billion dollar fraud that is psychiatry.

Press Release Body = A documentary entitled "Psychiatry An Industry of Death" was
sent to the Hon. Gordon Campbell, the Premier of British Columbia and Allan
Campbell, Director of Mental Health Addiction Services, by the Citizens Commission
on Human Rights in an effort to dissuade them from the use of psychiatrists and
their practices in a proposed Victoria facility for the homeless and drug addicted.

It was pointed out to the Premier that the downsizing of Riverview Psychiatric
Hospital in Coquitlam, British Columbia was and is a complete failure but so is the
practice of psychiatry itself.

The individuals who were released from the hospital with nowhere go do need a
facility to care for them but these poor homeless souls were already damaged beyond
repair by psychiatric "treatment" long before the downsizing occurred.

In the words of renowned psychiatrist and co-founder of the Citizens Commission on
Human Rights, Thomas Szasz, \"What these people do need is \'three hots and a cot\' in
a safe environment with plenty of competent medical care and nutritional food. And
take them to a movie once in awhile.\"

Prior to the downsizing, these luckless individuals had already had their lives
ruined by typical psychiatric practices such as the use of drugs like Thorazine, the
"chemical straight jacket" or drugs that cause Tardive Dyskinesia or cause people to
feel like they are "crawling out of their skin".

Many of them have other permanent side effects such as ticks and dominant muscle
spasms. Some of them could have, and probably did have their minds obliterated by
the use of electric shock.

Brian Beaumont, president of the Vancouver chapter of CCHR said, "Through rare
historical and contemporary footage and interviews with more than 160 doctors,
attorneys, educators, survivors and experts on the mental health industry and its
abuses, the riveting documentary 'Psychiatry An Industry of Death' blazes the bright
light of truth on the brutal pseudo science and the multi-billion dollar fraud that
is psychiatry."

The Citizens Commission on Human Rights was established by the Church of Scientology
to investigate and expose psychiatric violations of human rights.

If you know anyone, including a child, who has been abused or harmed by a
